Shanghai, 1931: a man inherits a weapons factory that runs on the souls of invaders. Inventory problem: nothing to forge but cowards.

Shen Lang discovers his cheat in the worst year imaginable — a phantom arsenal that forges hardware from enemy souls. The mechanics are simple and hideous: the more invaders he sends to the furnace, the better the rifles his militia can hold. History already has the body count ready.
