Reborn as a shedding dog-headed goblin, his one dream: become a wizard powerful enough to stop being ugly.

Luge is unhappy — he's been shedding again. As a kobold in a brutal fantasy underground, scales, horns and a human body are the privileges of dragons and high demons, and the 'shortcut' to reclaiming one is power measured in centuries. His journal records the long, funny, surprisingly tender grind of a small monster walking toward wizardry, one spell at a time.
